We moved away from outdated non-binding estimates for long-distance and cross-country moving, and adopted a transparent labor-plus-transportation pricing model. With hourly labor pricing and automated time tracking, the hours customers are billed are directly connected to the hours our moving professionals work and are paid. This allows us to compensate our crews fairly, retain experienced employees, and maintain consistent service quality.
Technology and operational planning help control transportation costs without reducing employee compensation or service quality. Our software improves scheduling, tracks labor hours, coordinates trucks and crews, and plans more efficient routes.
Because our operations also include general freight, vehicle transportation, and specialized military cargo, we apply professional transportation standards throughout our moving operations.
These efficiencies help us provide more competitive and transparent pricing while continuing to invest in professional movers, reliable equipment, and quality customer service.

Our Story
People Movers began as a small, hands-on moving operation and grew into a full-service company built around one core belief: customers deserve transparency, fair pricing, and crews who are treated well enough to care about the job.
Over the years, we've expanded from local household moves into long-distance and cross-country relocations, white-glove handling of high-value belongings, and specialty projects involving oversized freight, commercial equipment, and controlled-access sites across the country. Along the way, we've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients — from families relocating for the first time to business owners, real estate professionals, and collectors entrusting us with irreplaceable pieces, from fine art and designer furniture to custom-built pieces crafted from rare materials.
What hasn't changed is our approach: every move is planned with the same level of care, whether it's a studio apartment or an estate. Today, People Movers operates as a licensed, insured moving company serving Sacramento, the Bay Area, and Los Angeles, built on the same principles that guided us from the start — honest pricing, careful handling, and a crew that shows up ready to do the job right.
Meet the Owner
I've been in the moving industry since 2007. It started as a summer job in college to make some extra money — tough work, especially in Miami, where the heat and busy streets made every move a challenge. But I kept at it because I liked helping people, and every move came with a different story.
What kept me in the industry wasn't the job itself — it was the people. Everyone moving has a reason, and often a story behind it, and listening to those stories over the years taught me just how much a move can mean to a family or an individual, especially seniors starting a new chapter.
I worked my way through every role in this business — helper, driver, dispatcher, team lead, warehouse and branch manager, regional manager, and eventually CEO. That path gave me a ground-level understanding of the industry that I don't think you can get any other way. Leading the company also meant learning beyond operations — legal, HR, marketing — which is why I went on to pursue a degree in Business Management, to lead more effectively.
It hasn't been a straight line. I've dealt with real setbacks, including from people I trusted and worked closely with. But my family has been a constant through all of it, and that's what's kept me focused on building something worth being proud of.
